Rabbi and Professor of Jewish History at the Heidelberg University for Jewish Studies.

Prof. Klein has held the chair for "History of the Jewish People" at the Heidelberg University for Jewish Studies since 2006.

Her research focuses on the history of the Jews in antiquity, the Middle Ages and modern times in terms of social and gender history as well as legal, economic, religious and mental history issues.

Orthodox Judaism assumes that there are different roles for men and women in religious life.

Prof. Klein will speak about modern orthodoxy in Judaism and the role of women in an online event and discuss the perspectives of different faiths in Judaism.
